Carolyn M. Amato

Carolyn M. Amato is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in global commercial operations and sales within the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. Currently serving as Divisional Vice President of Global Commercial Operations at Abbott since January 2025, Carolyn previously held key leadership roles, including Senior Vice President of US Sales for Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies at Edwards Lifesciences, where a new field team was launched to enhance treatment for structural heart disease. Additional experience includes a tenure as Senior Vice President of Commercial at Acessa Health, where Carolyn facilitated a successful acquisition by Hologic, Inc., and leadership at Boston Scientific, managing neuromodulation initiatives and enterprise sales across various product lines. Carolyn's career began in sales and marketing at Merck, and academic qualifications include an MBA in Marketing and General Management from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
