Gael Tisack

Gael Tisack currently serves as the Divisional Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Abbott, leading a team of intellectual property attorneys in support of various operating divisions. Previously, Gael held significant roles at Olympus Corporation, including Global Head of Intellectual Property and Deputy General Counsel for IP, where responsibilities encompassed global IP strategy, litigation, licensing, and M&A. Gael has extensive experience in legal affairs as the VP and General Counsel at Olympus Corporation of the Americas and a Director at Wichita State University’s Technology Transfer Office. With a strong background in intellectual property management and engineering, Gael held executive roles at Terumo Cardiovascular Systems and served as Intellectual Property Manager at Ross Controls. Gael began a career as an engineer at Ford Motor Company and advanced through various legal roles at Brinks Hofer Gilson and Lione and Dickinson Wright PLLC. Gael holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School and two degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
