Hakim Bouzamondo

Hakim Bouzamondo is the current Divisional Vice President, Head of Global Nutrition Research & Development at Abbott. Hakim has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.

Bouzamondo started their career at Merck KGaA in 1999 as a Global Medical Lead, Research & Development. In 2006, they moved to Bristol-Myers Squibb as an EMEA Medical Lead, Metabolics. Hakim then became the Global Clinical Head Foods & Refreshment, and Head of Clinical in Asia at Unilever from 2011 to 2014. In their current role at Abbott, Bouzamondo is responsible for leading the global nutrition research and development team.

Hakim Bouzamondo attended Pierre and Marie Curie University, where they earned a Master of Science in Pharmacology. Hakim then pursued post-doctoral degrees in clinical pharmacology/Pks/ Psychoactive drugs at the same school. In 1993, they earned a Medical Doctor from Algiers University. Hakim later earned an Executive MBA from Ashridge Executive Education at Hult International Business School.
