José Silva is a seasoned procurement and supply chain professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across multiple industries. Since September 2012, José has served as Senior Director of Procurement Americas at Abbott, where key achievements include the establishment of a $37.5 million partnership aimed at improving diversity in the healthcare sector. Previous roles at Abbott include Director of Procurement Operations & Supplier Diversity and Director of Supplier Diversity and Sustainability, showcasing a consistent focus on diversity and sustainability initiatives. Prior to Abbott, José held significant positions at Holcim and Ford Motor Company, leading large teams and managing substantial budgets while successfully implementing cost-saving strategies and improving operational efficiencies. José holds an MBA in International Business from Thunderbird School of Global Management and has completed leadership and management programs at IMD, as well as a BS in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Carabobo.
