Katherine Frederick

Katherine Frederick, Ph.D., currently serves as the Microbiology Food Safety Data Program Manager at Abbott, a position held since August 2023. Prior to this, Katherine held multiple roles at Nestlé Purina North America from November 2018 to August 2023, including Senior Expert Microbiologist and Microbiology Manager, overseeing microbiological functions and ensuring timely reporting of results. Previous experience includes serving as Business Development Manager at Food Safety Net Services, Postdoctoral Researcher and Laboratory Manager at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, and Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Georgia, among others. Katherine earned a Ph.D. in Microbiology from The University of Georgia, followed by a postdoctoral position in Microbial Infection and Immunity at The Ohio State University, after obtaining a B.S. in Biology from Missouri Southern State University.
