Maggie Dyer is a Chemical Engineering student at Virginia Tech, set to graduate in 2024. Currently serving as an Operations College Intern at Abbott since May 2021, Maggie has contributed to maintaining and standardizing SOPs for machinery in rapid diagnostics, enhancing safety through organization of Safety Data Sheets, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations. In addition to interning at Abbott, Maggie is a committee liaison for the Galipatia Leadership Team, leading professional development initiatives for freshmen. Previous experience includes quality assurance and facilities management internships at Abbott, where Maggie implemented cost-saving measures and data analysis strategies. As President of the Society of Women Engineers High School Chapter, Maggie engaged in STEM advocacy and mentorship activities.
