Nancy Panetta is the current Global Divisional VP of Human Resources at Abbott. Nancy has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources, and has held positions at Thomas J. Paul, Inc. and Ortho Clinical Diagnostics.

At Thomas J. Paul, Inc., Nancy served as a Consultant/Human Resources Advisor to the Executive Team. In this role, they were responsible for defining and implementing a comprehensive talent strategy to optimize the performance of the 90-employee, family-owned business. This included building an inaugural HR infrastructure to advance the growth plan, developing new organizational structure and capabilities required to execute current and future business needs, assessing current capabilities against new structure, and identifying gaps and defining recruitment requirements.

At Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, Nancy served as Worldwide Vice President of Human Resources - Office of Chief Operating Officer. In this role, they were a senior business leader partnering with the Chief Operating Officer as Ortho Clinical Diagnostics transitioned from a business within Johnson & Johnson to an independent, standalone company. Nancy was accountable for leading human capital pre-IPO strategies and complex change initiatives, building lean, agile organizational structures to enable Ortho's standalone operating model, and building organizational capabilities across multiple global functions. Some of their key accomplishments include:

• Hands-on leadership building scalable infrastructure, processes, and systems supporting Ortho’s new stand-alone operating model and 2020 growth strategy.

• Led human capital decisions for multiple company-wide improvement initiatives resulting in $107M savings.

• Leveraged partnerships and applied innovative solutions to deliver aggressive IT capability build and realignment of R&D staffing mix; accelerated ROI by delivering ahead of plan and below forecasted costs.

• Cultivated a culture of high performance and employee engagement, resulting in year-over-year improvements against key engagement indices.

• Improved bench strength and achieved strong pipeline depth for all critical positions (80% improvement) in <24 months.

• Designed, revitalized and led a lean, customer-focused global Human Resources team supporting over 40% of global employee population; team recognized as trusted, credible, delivering exceptional results across multiple functional areas and diverse demographics.

Nancy Panetta has a BSBA in Business Information Systems from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania and certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in SPHR.
