Thea Weidemann

Thea Weidemann, MBA, serves as the Talent Acquisition Lead for Abbott in the Nordics and Benelux since May 2021, overseeing a team of six specialists responsible for approximately 580 annual hires across seven countries. Weidemann has successfully implemented a new talent acquisition strategy that enhanced hiring efficiency by 19% and transitioned the delivery model to an integrated in-house team. Prior to this role, Weidemann managed the Talent Acquisition function in the Nordics at Abbott and built the TA function at Verity, focusing on scalability and employer branding. Earlier experience includes roles as an International HR and Recruitment Specialist at Saipem and various recruitment positions in consulting firms. Weidemann holds dual bachelor's degrees in Organizational Psychology from the University of Oslo and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, along with an MBA from the University of St. Gallen.
