Wael Abdou currently serves as the Marketing Director for Abbott, overseeing operations in the Middle East, Turkey, Africa, Pakistan, and CIS since April 2021, and previously held roles as General Manager for UAE & Iraq and Country Manager for UAE in EPD. Prior to Abbott, Wael was the Business Unit Head for General Medicine at Amgen, managing P&L and marketing strategies across Gulf Countries. Wael's extensive experience at Eli Lilly and Company included roles such as Corporate Affairs & PRA Director for the Middle East and various sales and marketing leadership positions. Wael began a career in pharmaceuticals as a medical representative at Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals. Wael Abdou holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science from Alexandria University and completed the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School Executive Education.
