Abhinav Sharma

Abhinav Sharma, PhD, currently serves as Translational Human Models Lead in Dermatology/Immunology Discovery and previously held the position of Senior Scientist in Gastrointestinal Immunology Discovery at AbbVie since July 2020. Prior to this role, Abhinav Sharma was a Postdoctoral Research Scientist focusing on gastrointestinal microphysiological systems for drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics. Abhinav Sharma earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where the thesis revolved around developing micro-physiological models that replicate the complexities of the human gastrointestinal tract. Abhinav Sharma also holds an M.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Doctor Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University.
