Daniel O'Brien

Daniel O'Brien is a results-oriented scientific communicator currently serving as Scientific Director at AbbVie in Gastroenterology, US Medical Affairs. With over nine years of experience as a scientist, they have led various projects in scientific communications and project management. Previously, O'Brien held roles at AbbVie as Assistant and Associate Scientific Director, as well as Senior Publication Manager. They completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Vanderbilt University, where they spearheaded a molecular pharmacology project and earned a PhRMA foundation research fellowship award. Daniel holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Washington University in St. Louis and a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Notre Dame.
