David He

David (Yupeng) He, PhD, is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in the biotechnology industry, currently serving as Principal Scientist and Program Lead in Fibrosis and ECM Biology at AbbVie since February 2011. In addition to leading projects in fibrosis research and cancer research, David has played a critical role as the Due Diligence & Asset Strategy Team Discovery Lead for COVID-19 initiatives. Prior experience includes a tenure at Abbott, where David held positions such as Associate Clinical Investigator and Research Virologist, focusing on HCV clinical virology and drug discovery. Academic credentials include a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Washington, an M.S. in Biochemistry from The University of Kansas, and a B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Genetics from Nankai University.
