Jackson Gartman

Jackson Gartman is a Senior Scientist II at AbbVie, specializing in medicinal chemistry on the Protein Degradation Platform Team since September 2020, having previously held the role of Senior Scientist I in the same department. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Student Researcher at UT Southwestern Medical Center under Uttam K. Tambar, focusing on synthetic studies of natural products, culminating in a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry. Jackson co-founded and presided over the Biotechnology Club at UT Southwestern, promoting career development for graduate students and postdocs. Additional research experience includes work at Washington University in St. Louis and a summer internship at Swedish Medical Center, alongside academic achievements with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and a minor in Psychological and Brain Sciences from Washington University. Jackson completed secondary education at The Overlake School.
