Leonid Gaidukov

Leonid Gaidukov, PhD, is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in gene editing and molecular biology. Currently serving as Principal Research Scientist I at AbbVie since June 2025, Gaidukov previously held the position of Senior Scientist in Genome Editing Discovery at March Therapeutics, where the focus was on developing novel programmable gene editing systems. Previous roles include Senior Scientist in Synthetic Biology at Beam Therapeutics, Scientist II at Codiak BioSciences, and Research Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where Gaidukov led notable programs in synthetic biology. A strong educational foundation includes a PhD in Biological Chemistry from the Weizmann Institute of Science, a post-doctorate from MIT, and an MSc in Biotechnology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
