Michael Burns

Michael Burns currently serves as Medical Director for Oncology Early Development at AbbVie and as a Health System Clinician in Hematology and Oncology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. With a strong background in academia and clinical practice, Michael has held various roles including Associate Medical Director for the Physician Development Program at AbbVie and Medical Oncology Fellow at Northwestern University - The Feinberg School of Medicine. Michael's experience includes completing an FDA-AACR Oncology Educational Fellowship and an extensive education culminating in an MD/PhD in Biochemistry from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Additionally, Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Notre Dame and has engaged in multiple research initiatives throughout academic training.
