Mick Dart

Mick Dart has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Head of Medicinal Chemistry and Project Director at AbbVie since 2016, where leadership is provided for drug discovery teams focusing on aging-related diseases. Prior to this role, Mick Dart was a Principal Research Scientist at AbbVie from 2013 to 2015, guiding medicinal chemistry strategies and overseeing the successful transition of the TRPV3 program into the dermatology franchise. Earlier in the career, from 1995 to 2012, Mick Dart worked as a Chemistry Group Leader at Abbott, leading medicinal chemistry teams throughout various phases of drug discovery, particularly within neuroscience. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Harvard University and a B.S. in Biochemistry from Indiana University Bloomington.
