Richard Root

Richard Root is an experienced IT professional with a diverse background in project management, infrastructure architecture, and strategic delivery. Since October 2013, Richard has held various Associate Director roles at AbbVie, focusing on capacity optimization and service delivery within infrastructure and architecture. Previously, expertise was developed at Insight Global as a Technical Project Manager, and at Evoke Research and Consulting, where Richard served as Site Lead and Sr. Project Manager. Additional experience includes leadership roles at Fiserv as VP of Information Technology, Transamerica in IT management positions, and early career roles at General Motors and Service Companies. Richard also contributed to education as an Adjunct Faculty member at Judson University. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Telecommunications Systems from DePaul University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from Freed-Hardeman University.
