Samantha Lay

Samantha Lay is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic initiatives, project management, and operations within the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Director of Strategic Initiatives for R&D Data & Digital Convergence at AbbVie since September 2014, Samantha has held various leadership roles including Chief of Staff in different capacities. Prior to AbbVie, Samantha worked at Abbott from 2002 to 2014, leading significant programs such as a $311MM SAP implementation and managing multiple projects ranging from $1MM to over $10MM. Previous experience includes roles at IMS Health and United Healthcare, where Samantha excelled in account management and business development. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Communications from DePaul University and an MBA in Organizational Behavior from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, supplemented by training from Scrum Alliances.
