Xiuwen Zheng

Xiuwen Zheng is a highly experienced statistical and research scientist with a strong background in genomics and biostatistics. At AbbVie, from November 2018 to July 2022, Xiuwen led statistical analyses for the Genomics Research Center, focusing on UK Biobank data, conducting large-scale Phenome-wide association studies, and developing algorithms and R packages for data analysis. As a mentor for a master's student, Xiuwen also contributed to a project on large-scale HLA imputation. Previously, at the University of Washington from September 2007 to October 2018, Xiuwen served as a Senior Research Fellow, where the SeqArray package was developed for managing whole-genome sequence data and association testing for various research projects was performed. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Washington and a Master’s degree in Statistics from The University of Texas at Dallas.
