Mariel Moscoso has extensive experience in diversity and community engagement. Mariel started their career in 2000 at The Walt Disney Company, where they served as a Multicultural Representative in Corporate Enterprise Diversity & Inclusion. In this role, they assisted in the development and implementation of D&I programs across the organization. Mariel also led various D&I projects and worked closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes.
In 2013, Mariel joined Sami Transportation, Inc. as a Financial Manager. Mariel was responsible for all accounting processes, payroll management, and business banking operations. Mariel also provided guidance on business operations and collaborated with accountants to maintain accurate financial records.
In 2017, Mariel joined ABC7 as a Diversity & Community Engagement Specialist. Mariel worked on promoting diversity and engagement within the community. Mariel also took on the role of Founder of KABC Belong Team and Leader of Pride@ABC News & OTV.
In 2020, Mariel returned to The Walt Disney Company as the Co-President of MáS+ Latinx/Hispanic Employee Resource Group. In this role, they lead a team of colleagues in organizing events, membership activities, communications, and marketing. Mariel advocates for the Hispanic/Latinx community within Disney and beyond, promoting a multicultural approach to workplace and marketplace initiatives. Mariel also serves as a member of the Hispanic Latinx Advisory Board and leads the Hispanic Heritage Month effort enterprise-wide, collaborating with other Hispanic/Latinx BERG leaders.
Mariel Moscoso attended Loyola Marymount University from 1992 to 1996 and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Marketing and International Business.
