Sharon Carrillo

Sharon Carrillo is an accomplished producer with extensive experience in broadcast journalism, currently working at ABC7 Los Angeles since January 2023. Previously, Sharon held producer positions at Spectrum from October 2020 to January 2023 and at KEYT NewsChannel 3, KKFX, KCOY Central Coast News from January 2019 to August 2020. Sharon began a career in media at California State University, Northridge, serving as a student assistant from June 2013 to December 2018, and has contributed as a reporter, editor, and producer for Valley View News. Additional experience includes internships at Power 106 FM and participation in a student podcast with Univision Communications. Sharon also served as a producer for 88.5 KCSN's radio newscast and has written for La Opinion and The Sundial Newspaper. Sharon holds a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from California State University, Northridge, with further studies at Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
