Brian Ferguson is currently the Human Resources Manager at ABC Polymer Industries, LLC. Prior to that, they were the Human Resources Manager at The Renaissance Academy Prep School for Excellence and the Leave of Absence Coordinator at University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Brian is responsible for conducting new hire orientations, exit interviews and leave of absences. Brian is also an expert on subject matter of local, state, and federal laws and policies. In addition, Brian performs recruitment activities such as job postings, candidate screenings, and interviews. Brian has also assisted with employee development through coaching and advising and implementing training sessions.

At University of Alabama at Birmingham, Brian was responsible for processing and tracking all leaves of absences for both the hospital and university employees. Brian analyzed all claims for FMLA to determine eligibility. Brian also worked with the employee and their departments to help find ways to accommodate both of their needs. Brian was responsible for training other departments at UAB with any changes to the leave of absence process or ways to help them understand our process better. Brian was also the expert in leave of absences at UAB and knew the law in regards to FMLA and university policies, and adapted to any changes in those laws or policies.

Brian Ferguson has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from the University of Alabama.
