Lars Hestbech

Lars Hestbech is an experienced structural engineer currently serving as a Konstruktionsingeniør and Kompetencechef Certificering at ABC Rådgivende Ingeniører since August 2025. Previously, Lars worked as a Konstruktionsingeniør at Søren Jensen Rådgivende Ingeniørfirma from July 2013 to July 2025. Lars completed a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering at Aarhus University, where research focused on reinforced concrete structures, rotational capacity, and structural design while also developing educational materials in dynamics and earthquake engineering. Earlier roles include a Structural Engineer position at Grontmij | Carl Bro and a trainee experience at NIRAS. Lars holds a Master of Science in Architectural Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering, alongside a visiting scholar stint at the University of California, Berkeley.
