N. J. Burkett is a broadcast journalist with extensive experience in the industry. Currently serving as a Correspondent at abc7NY since July 1989, Burkett has also worked at WFSB TV as a Correspondent and Shoreline Bureau Chief from June 1986 to June 1989. Additionally, Burkett is involved in professional organizations, serving as the President of The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, New York Chapter and as a Board Trustee at WBGO.
