Matt Barnes has a diverse background in scientific research and kitchen leadership. Initially serving as a Kitchen Team Leader at Greene King from November 2017 to January 2019, Barnes transitioned to the scientific field, joining Abcam in October 2020 as a Research Associate in the Purification and Conjugation department, where responsibilities included purifying and conjugating antibodies and process optimization. Following this role, Barnes became a Senior Research Associate before advancing to the position of Associate Scientist at Abcam in April 2023. Educationally, Barnes holds a degree in Forensic Science from Anglia Ruskin University, obtained between 2014 and 2018.
