Priya Kaur is an experienced researcher specializing in molecular and cell line engineering, currently serving as an Associate Research Scientist at AbCellera since November 2020. Previously, Priya worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Tanentzapf Lab at The University of British Columbia, focusing on the structure-function analysis of the gap junction protein Innexin4 and its role in stem cell differentiation in Drosophila gonads. Prior research includes evaluating the effects of extracellular matrix proteins on hemocyte migration in Drosophila, as well as investigating thrombogenesis prevention methods and the impact of mating arena complexity on sexual selection in Drosophila melanogaster. Priya's educational background includes a Master of Science in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from The University of British Columbia and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Developmental Biology, Cell and Systems Biology from the University of Toronto.
