Amelia Symonds

Amelia Symonds, PE, serves as a Principal Engineer at the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority since April 2019, previously holding the position of Senior Engineer. Prior experience includes roles as a Water & Wastewater Engineer at AECOM from May 2016 to April 2019 and as an Engineering Associate at Smith Engineering Company from May 2011 to February 2016, where responsibilities encompassed permitting, design calculations, and construction documentation for various water and wastewater projects. Amelia's early career featured an internship at NASUS Water, LLC, focused on designing a process water pilot plant, and an internship with Arizona Public Service. Amelia holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University and attended the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
