Jason Zapata

Jason Zapata started their work experience in 2004 as the Owner, Freelance Videographer, and Post Production Editor at Jason Zapata Video Productions. During this time, they held various positions on production crews and worked on independent short films, music videos, and live events.

In 2006, Jason worked as the Media Arts Equipment Cage Manager at the Art Institute of Philadelphia until 2012.

From 2004 to 2006, they worked as a part-time Master Control Operator at WWSI, Telemundo Philadelphia, before pursuing full-time opportunities at the Art Institute. Jason then continued as a freelance contractor for WWSI.

In 2011, Jason worked as a Master Control Operator at Comcast until 2012.

In 2012, they joined AbelCine as the Service Manager, overseeing day-to-day operations of the Service Department. From 2018 onwards, they held the role of AbelCine Integration Sales Manager, working on sales quotes and strategies, and collaborating with Integration Engineers. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Integration, responsible for driving the company's integration services business and roadmap.

Jason Zapata obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Digital Filmmaking & Video Production from The Art Institutes, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed an Associate's Degree in Video Production from The Art Institutes, attending between 2002 and 2004. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including NewTek Certified Sales Specialist from NewTek in June 2021, EditShare Certified Associate from EditShare in July 2020, Extron Certified AV Associate from Extron in January 2020, ISF Level III Certification from the Imaging Science Foundation in May 2018, and ISF Level II Certification from the Imaging Science Foundation, INC in November 2016.
