Abell Eskew Landau LLP (AEL) is a boutique law firm specializing in parallel criminal and civil government enforcement matters, investigations and cases, including cases arising under the False Claims Act (FCA), Antikickback Statute (AKS) and Stark Law; whistleblower and qui tam defense; white collar criminal defense; internal investigations; and, regulatory and compliance counseling. We have particular expertise in healthcare fraud, securities fraud and related litigation, computer fraud, bank/wire fraud, and government fraud. We also handle complex commercial litigation, having obtained victories at the trial and appellate levels, as well as in mediation and arbitrations. And, we provide counseling in healthcare transactional matters and billing and payment disputes with an eye toward regulatory compliance. Our unique blend of experience as former federal prosecutors in two of the most prestigious U.S. Attorney’s Offices in the country, in-house counsel, and outside defense counsel gives us insight and perspective on the complex and often convoluted regulatory and enforcement environments in which our clients operate.
