Amy Wright

Amy Wright has a diverse work experience spanning across several organizations. Amy began their career as a Medical Technologist at MetroHealth Medical Center in 1992. Amy then moved on to work as a Research Assistant II at Case Western Reserve University from 1993 to 1996, followed by a role as a Research Assistant II at Athersys in 1996. In 1997, they returned to Case Western Reserve University as a Research Assistant II until 1999.

Amy's career then took their to the Cleveland Clinic: Allogen Laboratory in 2011, where they worked as a Histocompatibility Technologist for a year. In 2013, they joined Charles River Laboratories as a Research Associate III and held this position until 2018.

In 2018, Amy joined Abeona Therapeutics Inc. as a Senior Scientist II, and they are currently working in this role. Additionally, from 2002 to 2014, they served as an Adjunct Faculty at Cuyahoga Community College.

Amy Wright obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist from The University of Akron, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. Amy went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Case Western Reserve University, completing their studies from 1993 to 1996. Amy then attended Notre Dame College from 1997 to 1999, where they obtained a Teachers' Certification with a focus on Secondary Education and Teaching in Biology. In addition to their degrees, Amy also obtained the MT(ASCP) certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology in June 1992.
