Marcelo Maia Tavares De Araújo

Marcelo Maia Tavares De Araújo graduated in Civil Engineering from UFMG. He has a specialization in Economic Law from FGV, an MBA in Finance from IBMEC, a Certificate in Finance and Administration from the University of California at Berkeley, in the United States, as well as a Master's in Leadership and Strategy from the London Business School, in the United Kingdom. Retail entrepreneur for 15 years, he subsequently held the position of Secretary of Commerce and Services of the Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services between 2015 and 2017, helping in the formulation, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of public policies, as well as in the establishment of actions for the development of the productive system in the areas of commerce and services. He was Executive Director of the Associação Brasileira de Franchising and has been Executive President of the Dia network subsidiary in Brazil since February 2020.
