Ali Hussain

Ali Hussain has over 8 years of work experience. Ali started their career in 2012 as a Summer Intern at A. F. Ferguson & Co., a member firm of the PwC network. In 2014, they joined DJM Securities as an Associate Trader and gained valuable insight about stock performance, evaluations, price movements, trend analysis and fundamental analysis. In 2015, they moved to Habib Bank Limited as an Associate Relationship Manager in the Corporate and Investment Banking Group, where they created initial, annual and interim credit agreements for fund based and non-fund based credit facilities. In 2016, they joined CIBC Mellon as an Investment Fund Accountant in the Global Fund Services, where they calculated net asset value for ETFs, prepared financial statements, audit and year-end valuation packages and verified stocks, bonds and derivative transactions. In 2017, they founded Loft 29 Restaurant, where they managed day to day operations with a team of 30 employees within finance, operations, marketing, sales and customer service department. Ali also implemented an ERP software to automate production and to streamline financial reporting. In 2022, they joined Abhi (YC S21) as a Corporate Sales Manager, where they are working to provide Earned Wage Access to employees and to financially include underbanked/unbanked segment in the country.

Ali Hussain attended International School of Choueifat from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a US-High School Diploma. Ali then attended Western University from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a BMOS with a Specialization in Finance.
