Mark Gustincic is an accomplished research professional with extensive experience in protein chemistry and high-throughput screening. Currently serving as a Senior Research Associate at Abilita Therapeutics, Inc., Mark focuses on producing stabilized membrane proteins for antibody development. Previously at Pacific Biosciences, Mark produced novel enzyme variants and developed characterization assays, significantly contributing to the Onso sequencing platform. Mark's earlier role at Amyris included managing a high-throughput screening pipeline for engineered yeast strains and identifying key improvements in target compound production. Mark holds a Master's degree in Bioengineering from UC San Diego and a Bachelor's degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology with a Bioinformatics minor from the University of California, Santa Cruz, complemented by a certificate in Applied Bioinformatics.
