Jacqueline Sears is an experienced professional with a diverse background in service coordination and advocacy. Currently serving as a First Steps Service Coordinator at Abilities First since July 2019, Jacqueline previously held the role of Contract Support Specialist at Missouri State University from May 2016 to July 2019, focusing on planning, design, and construction. Prior experience includes positions as a Disability Advocate at empower: abilities and a Community Support Specialist at Burrell Center Inc. Jacqueline's career began with a Sidewalk Internship at the City of Springfield, Missouri. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Geography from Missouri State University, a Bachelor of Science in Experimental Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Hilo, and an Associate of Arts in General Studies from Ozarks Technical Community College.

Abilities First
Abilities First is an organization that promotes inclusive opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. We believe that everyone has abilities and by ensuring that people have the opportunity to use their abilities, we make our community better for all of us. Abilities First uses public and private funds to support the choices of individuals with developmental disabilities in Greene County to live, work, play, be active, and productive in meaningful ways for our community.
