Jai Dosanjh is an experienced housing professional with a comprehensive background in leadership and consultancy roles within various housing associations. Currently serving as a Board Member at Ability Housing Association since October 2019, Jai has held several interim chief executive positions, including at Major Housing Association and ARHAG Housing Association Ltd, where leadership during the Covid-19 pandemic was notably exemplified. Educational qualifications include a Chartered Institute of Housing Professional Qualification from West London College and a BA Hons in Politics from Portsmouth Polytechnic. With over three decades of experience, including significant roles at Apna Ghar Housing Association and Brent Council, Jai has a proven track record of enhancing housing stock and ensuring regulatory compliance within the sector.

Ability Housing Association
Ability is a registered provider of housing, care and support. Our vision is for people who want to live more independently to regard Ability as their first choice provider of housing and/or support services. Our services include the provision of affordable, high quality accommodation for rent, supported living or shared ownership, as well as accommodation based support, floating support, accessible housing registers and adaptations services. Our customers include people with physical or sensory impairments, people with learning difficulties or mental health problems, single homeless people, people who misuse drugs or alcohol and young people or older people needing support to live independently. Ability is a Homes and Community Agency (HCA) investment partner and a member of two investment partnering consortia: the Sovereign Development Consortium and the Thames Valley Housing Consortium. We are also registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide both domiciliary care and residential care. We are quality assurance accredited with Investors in People and ISO 9001. We are also listed as one of “The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For”. Ability manages around 650 homes and provides support services to over 1000 people in total. We provide housing and support services in 34 districts across London and the Southeast.
