Elise Jortberg

Elise Jortberg is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in data science and algorithm development, currently serving as the Team Lead for Clinical Decision Support and Senior Data Scientist at Abiomed since January 2019. Jortberg leads the algorithmic initiatives for Abiomed's AI-Cloud collaboration, focusing on forecasting patient hemodynamic status through time series modeling and the development of machine learning algorithms for Impella. Prior to Abiomed, Jortberg held roles at MC10 Inc. as a Data Scientist and Algorithms Engineer, where machine learning models were implemented for wearable technology. Additionally, Jortberg’s experience includes educational roles as a Planetarium Presenter at the Museum of Science in Boston and as a Physics Teaching Fellow at Northeastern University. Jortberg holds a Master's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Algorithms, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics with a minor in Mathematics and Business Administration from Northeastern University.
