Katrina Tun

Katrina Tun is a Manufacturing Quality Engineer at Abiomed since February 2024, with a strong background in biomedical engineering. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Design/Capstone Project Team Lead at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, where Katrina led a team to design and manufacture 3D printed mechanical testing devices, achieving significant cost savings and accuracy improvements. As a School of Engineering Ambassador, Katrina contributed to mentoring and community engagement efforts within the engineering department. Internship roles at BASF and Ethicon involved generating market analyses, collaborating on product development, and creating training resources. A B.S. in Bioengineering from Rutgers University was obtained in May 2023, complemented by research experience and community service initiatives aimed at promoting STEM opportunities.
