Michael Schwartz

Michael Schwartz has a diverse work experience in the clinical research field. Michael is currently working as the Associate Director of Clinical Operations at Abiomed since 2021. Prior to that, they owned their own business, Calvo Clinical Services, LLC, where they managed clinical trials for sponsors and CROs in the medical device, biotech, and pharmaceutical industries. From 2016 to 2021, they worked as the Director of Project Management MedTech at IQVIA MedTech Clinical Solutions. Michael also served as the Director of Clinical Operations at NovaDigm Therapeutics from 2012 to 2016. In 2011, they were the Regional Area Manager at Allergan Medical, where they managed a team of CRAs and oversaw site management and monitoring-related activities. Earlier in their career, they held various roles at Angiotech, SFBC International, SFBC New Drug Services, and SFBC Charlotte, where they gained experience in clinical trial management and clinical research.

Michael Schwartz obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical Materials and Engineering, with a minor in Physics, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Michael completed this course of study from 1993 to 1999.
