Director, Clinical Development at ABK Biomedical

Amit V. has diverse work experience in the fields of clinical development, research analysis, teaching, and consulting. Amit is currently serving as the Director of Clinical Development at ABK Biomedical Inc., a position they have held since February 2021. Prior to this, from November 2010 to January 2017, Amit worked as a Biostatistician and Medical Writer, contributing to the development of scientific plans for clinical programs and designing study outlines and protocols.

In addition to their academic and industry roles, Amit also worked as a Consultant at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro's Center for Social Community Health Research and Eval from November 2010 to August 2013. Earlier in their career, Amit served as a Research Coordinator in the Division of Hepatology at UNC Health from September 2004 to January 2011. In this role, they conducted clinical studies on hepatitis C treatment response and maintained clinical trial investigator databases.

Amit's experience also includes a brief role as a Consultant for the Pediatric and Community Engagement Core at the North Carolina Translational and Clinical Sciences Institute (NC TraCS) from August 2009 to February 2010. In this role, they built relationships with healthcare providers and facilitated translational research and health education services.

Amit V. earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematical Decision Sciences and Operations Research from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2000 to 2004. Subsequently, Amit pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Community Health from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, attending from 2004 to 2006. Amit then continued their education at the same institution and earned a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree with a concentration in Community Health, Program and Health Outcomes Evaluation, and Biostatistics, completing the program from 2006 to 2010.
