Director Clinical Affairs at Ablative Solutions

Sidu Gapara has a diverse and extensive work experience in the medical field. Sidu started their career as a Midwife at Maternity Healthcare UK, where they gained experience in delivering maternal and fetal care, as well as managing maternal and neonatal community care. Sidu also took on leadership roles in department audits and best practice initiatives.

After working as a Midwife for almost a decade, Sidu moved on to the Imperial College London Clinical Research Unit, where they served as a Clinical Trials Coordinator. In this role, they were responsible for managing recurrent miscarriage themed studies, including study setup, ethics submissions, and screening and recruitment of participants.

Sidu then joined the Centre for the Developing Brain at Kings College London as a Clinical Trial Manager. Here, they managed a European Research Council study in perinatal imaging, focusing on patient recruitment and ensuring accurate data collection according to regulatory and ethical guidelines.

Following their time at Kings College London, Sidu worked as a Medical Affairs - Clinical Research Scientist at SPD Swiss Precision Diagnostics GmbH. In this role, they contributed to clinical research activities within the company.

Sidu's next career move was to BD, where they served as a Regulatory Compliance Manager and Worldwide Infusion Specialist Disposables Prev. Clinical Advocate. In this role, they led the decision process for determining regulatory reportability of events and prepared vigilance reports and communications to Competent Authorities.

Most recently, Sidu has been working at Mölnlycke as a Global Clinical Project Manager. In this position, they have been responsible for managing global clinical projects within the company.

Currently, Sidu is the Director of Clinical Affairs at Ablative Solutions, where they oversee clinical affairs operations. Sidu also previously held the role of EU CTM in Clinical Affairs at the same company.

Sidu Gapara has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Hons degree in Direct Entry Midwifery from Thames Valley University, London, which was obtained from 2002 to 2005. Later, Sidu pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Clinical Research Management from Cranfield University, starting in 2012. Furthermore, Sidu has also engaged in Research and Development Management studies at the University of Birmingham, starting in 2014.
