Marco Poetsch

Marco Poetsch is a Senior Spatial Advisor at Abley since January 2022, bringing extensive experience in geoinformatics and spatial analysis. Previous roles include GIS Analyst and Relationship Manager at Nelson City Council from June 2017 to December 2021, and a freelance Web and Media Designer from July 2008 to January 2018, where Marco focused on Web-CMS implementation. Academic contributions as an Associate Researcher and Study Assistant at Z_GIS - Department of Geoinformatics, University of Salzburg, along with a Visiting Scholar position at the University of the Aegean, demonstrate a strong foundation in applied geoinformatics. Marco Poetsch holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in relevant fields from Paris Lodron Universität Salzburg, complemented by earlier academic experiences at HTBLA Salzburg.
