Richard Klompjan

Richard Klompjan is an experienced financial professional with a robust background in credit risk decisioning and financial restructuring. Currently serving as Head Credit Decisioning at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. since August 2007, Richard oversees bank-wide Credit Risk Decisioning teams and chairs the Central Credit Committee. Previous roles at ABN AMRO include leadership positions in Financial Restructuring & Recovery for both international clients and the USA, as well as heading International Restructuring. Richard’s earlier career features a tenure as Director of Structured Finance and as Head of Project Finance at Royal Boskalis Westminster, along with experience as a Financial Engineer/Tender Manager at Strukton Integrale Projecten. Richard contributes to the EMS | European Merchant Services as a Member of the Supervisory Board. Academic qualifications include a Master's in International Finance from the University of Amsterdam and a Master's in Industrial Engineering & Management from the University of Twente.
