Jessica Meech is a qualified legal professional with extensive experience in various roles, including Trial Advocate, Managing Solicitor, and Solicitor at the Aboriginal Legal Service since October 2021. Prior to this, Jessica worked as a Solicitor at Legal Aid NSW and at Younes + Espiner Lawyers. Other notable positions include Paralegal at Streeton Criminal Lawyers, Editor at the Australian Journal of Human Rights, and various internships and clerkships. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice from UNSW and completed secondary education at Brigidine College Randwick and All Hallows School Surrey.

Born out of a protest movement, we are the primary legal service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in NSW and the ACT. We deliver free, culturally appropriate legal and wraparound advice, representation, information and referrals for thousands of people each year. We are recognised nationally for our strong advocacy and law reform work.
