Senior Software Engineer at Abound

Imran R. has a diverse range of work experience in the field of frontend development. Starting in 2012, they worked as a Junior Front-End Developer at Havas helia, where they created engaging web content for clients such as Tesco and Dove. Imran also developed monthly web pages for Nescafe Dolce Gusto and built HTML newsletters for various clients.

In 2015, Imran joined Lipsy London (Next) as a Front-End Developer, where they collaborated with the eCommerce team to build microsites and landing pages. Imran also developed a reusable UI toolkit and implemented improvements for page load speeds, UX, and SEO.

From 2018 to 2019, Imran worked as a Midweight Frontend Developer at Radancy, focusing on the HR Tech industry. Imran built bespoke career websites and enhanced/debugged existing sites for clients such as Adecco, Co-op, Primark, Astra Zeneca, and Marks & Spencer. Imran utilized HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, Vanilla JS, ASP.net Razor, and Parcel.

At The Marketing Store, Europe, Imran worked as a Senior Frontend Developer from 2019 to 2021. Imran played a crucial role in rebuilding the Monopoly web app from jQuery to Vue.js for the UK's largest promotional campaign, McDonald's Monopoly.

In 2021, Imran joined Hex Digital as a Senior Frontend Developer, working on custom WordPress web builds and features for various clients. Imran gained experience with Nuxt.js, the WordPress REST API, and a modern WordPress workflow (Sage).

Imran then briefly worked at Feel - Nutrition, Reinvented as the Lead Frontend Developer, where they built Shopify pages, migrated legacy theme architecture to Shopify 2.0, created reusable components, and implemented A/B testing using Google Optimize.

Currently, Imran is a Senior Frontend Engineer at Abound, starting in 2022.

Imran R. pursued their higher education starting from 2005. Imran attended Newham Sixth Form College where they completed their A-Levels in both Computing and Graphic Design from 2005 to 2007. Additionally, during the same period, Imran obtained a BTEC National Award in Digital Media from the same college. Later, from 2007 to 2010, they enrolled at London South Bank University, where they earned a BA Hons degree in Digital Media Arts.
