Denise Alvarado

Denise Alvarado is an accomplished author, artist, and cultural consultant with extensive experience in indigenous healing traditions and a deep-rooted understanding of the culture of New Orleans, Louisiana. Alvarado has been an author at Weiser Books since August 2010 and has maintained a personal authorial and consulting business since December 2005. Previous experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at Walden University from January 2005 to 2010. Alvarado holds a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from Northern Arizona University and has pursued advanced studies at Walden University, where work towards a PhD in Psychology Research and Evaluation is ongoing, along with a completed Master of Science (M.S.) in Professional Psychology.
