Matthew Pond is a legal recruiting professional with extensive experience in the field. As the Founder and Attorney Recruiter at Above the Bar since June 2016, Matthew has cultivated a reputation for excellence in legal placements. Prior tenure includes roles as a Shareholder and Attorney Recruiter at Pacific Legal Search and as a Recruiter at Swan Legal Search, where Matthew focused on connecting legal talent with opportunities. Earlier in Matthew's career, experience as a Recruitment Consultant at First Counsel involved advising Australian and New Zealand lawyers on international moves, complemented by a background as a Corporate Lawyer at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. Matthew holds a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor’s Degree from The Australian National University, as well as a Master’s Degree in Documentary Production from the Australian Film Television and Radio School.
