Bimal Balan is an experienced software development engineer with a strong background in designing and implementing software solutions for advanced computing infrastructures. Currently serving as a Senior Software Development Engineer at AboveNets Communications since March 2006, Bimal has a solid history at Fermi National Lab and Lucent Technologies, where responsibilities included software development for cluster and grid computing. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology Calicut.
