John Ransom

John Ransom has extensive experience in credit management and treasury functions, with a career spanning several decades. Currently serving as Treasurer of the New York State Amateur Hockey Association since June 2014, John Ransom oversees all treasury duties. From February 2004, John Ransom has been managing the Corporate Credit Department at AboveNet, Inc., while also holding a similar managerial role at AboveNet Communications since 2004. Previous leadership positions include President of Spectrum Telecom Services from June 2013 to December 2014 and Credit Manager roles at James River Corporation, Georgia-Pacific, and Parfums de Couer. John Ransom began the professional journey in credit management with Pfizer Inc. and Union Carbide Corporation. Academically, John Ransom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Ithaca College, followed by further studies at Long Island University.
