Dr. Niels Hammer

Dr. Niels Hammer currently serves as the COO and Managing Director of ABP Induction, LLC, a position held since October 2023. Previously, Dr. Hammer was the CEO of NIMAK GmbH from May 2016 to October 2023. Prior roles include Senior Vice President of Operations & Technology (CTO/COO) at Santasalo from December 2014 to April 2016, Senior Vice President of R&D (CTO) at Moventas from January 2013 to December 2014, and various positions at Siemens AG, including Project Engineer, Operations Manager, and Senior Consultant from December 2007 to December 2012. Dr. Hammer began as a scientific staff member and department head at Technische Universität Dortmund from December 2001 to November 2007, where a doctorate in engineering was obtained. Dr. Hammer's career began with professional job training as an industrial mechanic at Deutsche Babcock AG from 1992 to 1995. Educational background includes a Diplom-Ingenieur in Mechanical Engineering from TU Dortmund University, completed in 2001.
