Head – Digital Content Strategy at ABP Network

Tushar Banerjee has extensive work experience in the digital media industry. Tushar currently serves as the Vice President - Digital at ABP Network, where they lead the digital newsroom and works on revenue maximization, cost optimization, digital transformation, and product strategy. Tushar is also responsible for new initiatives and business/audience growth for the network. Prior to this role, Tushar worked as the Executive Editor - Digital at ABP Network, where they led digital editorial teams across multiple languages and was responsible for news gathering, content development, social media engagement, and maximizing traffic and revenue targets. Tushar also had a brief stint at NDTV Convergence Limited as the Head of Audience Growth and New Initiatives. Before that, Tushar served as the Head of Product at The Quint, where they launched the Hindi vertical and built the news videos team. Tushar also worked as a Senior Multimedia Producer at The Quint, where they put together a team of bilingual multimedia journalists and trained video jockeys. Tushar began their career as a Correspondent at BBC News, reporting and curating stories on science, technology, internet, business, and politics. Tushar also worked as a Sub Editor at NDTV and an Associate Producer at nnis and Veecon Music & Entertainment Pvt Ltd. Overall, Tushar has a strong background in digital media, content production, audience growth, and strategic leadership.

Tushar Banerjee holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Banaras Hindu University, which they earned from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) in Commerce, Economics, and Accounts from the same university from 2004 to 2007. Tushar'seducational journey began at St. John's School, D.L.W., where they obtained their ISC degree in Business/Managerial Economics from 1990 to 2004. In addition to their formal education, Tushar has also obtained certifications in Stanford GSB Design Thinking from Stanford GSB Executive Education and The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing from IAB Europe in the year 2020.
